What is Chidokan Karate- Do
Chidokan Karate- Do is a Shotokan karate style. It's lineage can be traced back to the founder of Shotokan Karate- Do, Gichin Funakoshi.
Chidokan was brought to Sydney Australia by Kyoshi John Clutterbuck in 1969.
The style has evolved over the years and is a traditional karate school with practical application of it's kata in self defence scenarios.
Kata is the heart of Chidokan Karate-Do.
Who do we teach
We teach anyone from teenagers (16 years) and over.
Our training syllabus covers all aspects of Karate training, from foundational techniques, exercises, kata, application of kata and kata based sparring.
The school emphasizes a strong and dynamic style based on traditional Okinawan Shotokan. I thoroughly recommend Chidokan Karate Do to any student looking to begin their Karate journey or improve their current ability and understanding.
