Kihon-Kata Part 1

There are 12 Kihon Kata that extend Taekyoko Kata.

Kihon Kata Yon

This Kihon Kata follows the pattern of Taekyoko-San but replaces all blocking techniques with a combination blocking technique of Uchi-Uke in Kokutsu-Dachi followed by Chudan Oi-Zuki. immediately return front foot to Shizen-Dachi after the Oi-Zuki.

Note: When stepping forward from Kokustu-Dachi, use your thigh to add power and speed. Focus on moving in and out quickly!

Kihon Kata Go

As per Kihon-Kata-Yon but perform Jodan Oi-Zuki.

 

Kihon Kata Roku

As per Kihon-Kata-Ju but performUchi-Uke in Kokutsu-Dachi followed by Chudan Mae-Geri-Kekomi and Chudan Oi-Zuki.

 

Kihon Kata Shichi

As per Kihon-Kata- Roku but perform Jodan Oi-Zuki.

 

Kihon Kata Hachi

As per Kihon-Kata-Roku but perform Chudan Mae-Geri-Kebanashi and Chudan Oi-Zuki.

 

Kihon Kata Ku

As per Kihon-Kata-Hachi but perform Jodan Oi-Zuki.
